The footwear workshop organized by the Turkish Footwear Industrialists Association (TASD), which is the industrialist association of the Turkish footwear industry, and the Turkish Ministry of Trade, was held with the participation of the Aegean Leather and Leather Products Association, important names and companies from the sector.
The opening of the workshop “Problems and solution proposals in the footwear sector” organized by the Turkish Footwear Manufacturers Association TASD was attended by Mr. Avni DİLBER, General Director of Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance of the Ministry of Trade of Turkey. Avni DİLBER Aegean Leather and Leather Products Association President Erkan ZANDAR and important names from the sector attended the workshop. In the session moderated by TASD Chairman Berke İÇTEN, the most important problems in front of the sector were discussed.
The footwear sector, which is the most important locomotive of Turkey’s leather goods sector, put the analysis of the sector on the table industrially, even though the export figures in the international arena make the sector smile. In today’s world, e-commerce constitutes an important place in this context, participating in the workshop Turkey Trendyol Marketplace Platform Rules and Compliance Manager Biricik BENGISU, emphasizing the important points of e-commerce, how the global brand should follow a strategy and added customer-oriented impressions to his comments. There were panels on trade law in the footwear sector and problems and solutions before the consumer.
Ziynet Berna ORHAN from the Ministry of Industry and Technology of Turkey, Melike YILMAZ, Head of Department of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, Hulusi GENÇ, Trade Expert Hulusi GENÇ from the General Directorate of Customs of the Ministry of Trade, Vedat ŞAHİN from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and Abdulhekim KORKUTATA, Head of Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security – General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety, provided important information for a healthier and more sustainable future of the sector in the session.
While product safety, advertising and unfair commercial practices were on the agenda at the workshop, consumer protection and market issues were also brought to the agenda. The closing of the workshop was realized with the speeches of Avni DİLBER, General Director of Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance of the Ministry of Trade of Turkey and Berke İÇTEN, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TASD Turkish Footwear Manufacturers Association. While the workshop was presented in 4 sessions for two days, it was held with the speeches of experts in their fields.
