IFCO, Europe’s largest ready-to-wear and fashion fair, will hold its 6th edition between 07-09 August 2024. In the 5th edition of IFCO, it broke a record by hosting 38 thousand 543 visitors from 159 countries, almost half of which were foreigners.
IFCO is preparing to bring together global fashion influencers from 5 continents in Istanbul. IFCO, Europe’s largest ready-to-wear and fashion fair, which held its fifth season in February 2024, is entering the new season on 07-09 August 2024 with a rich preparation. On an area of 30 thousand m2, it will host a wide range of product groups, brands and trend areas in 4 halls.
Ready-to-Wear and Fashion Fair IFCO, which will be held at Istanbul Expo Centre, is organised by ITKIB Fuarcılık A.Ş., a subsidiary of Istanbul Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exporters’ Association (İHKİB).
IFCO, where 300 companies in product groups ranging from women’s, men’s and kids wear, denim and sportswear, leather and fur garments to footwear will come together, is preparing to bring together thousands of distinguished visitors with purchasing groups from more than 100 countries with intensive trade in the sector abroad.
‘IFCO WITHIN THE SCOPE OF PRESTIGIOUS FAIRS’
İHKİB Vice President Mustafa PAŞAHAN : ‘Our sector has been dreaming of having a fair like IFCO for years. We are talking about an endeavour that could not be realised in the period before us, even for 30 years. When we set out, we encountered many negative discourses such as you can’t do it, it can’t be done; however, despite this, we did what could not be done by bringing together all the stakeholders of our sector. Today, we are proud to have created a brand like IFCO. IFCO, which will be organised for the 6th time this season, has become the largest Ready-to-Wear and Fashion Fair in Europe, was included in the scope of 50% state support in its first organisation and has succeeded in taking the first place in the international fairs calendar.’

‘Last year, we took our companies to 20 fairs from America to Paris with national participation under the organisation of İHKİB. Again in 2023, we organised 21 trade delegations. Some of the fairs we organise in Europe are among the prestigious fairs. We now think that IFCO deserves to be included in the prestigious fairs. When IFCO is included in the scope of prestigious fairs, the upper limit of support will increase. In addition, it will be more attractive for our companies to participate in fairs such as IFCO than participating in fairs abroad.’

‘As the fashion capital of Turkey, Istanbul is an ideal centre to bring together trends, fashion, design, brands, trade and collaborations. In fact, it is taking firm steps towards becoming the capital of fashion. IHKIB aims to open a new era in the ready-to-wear sector with IFCO, which will introduce this vibrant centre to the whole world. The participants of IFCO, which will take place on a total area of 30 thousand square metres, will come together with the purchasing delegations of thousands of companies from many regions, especially EU Countries, UK, Russian Federation and Commonwealth of Independent States, North Africa and Middle East.’

Fashion Designers Association (MTD) Difference at IFCO
MTD, which continues to work for the Turkish fashion design sector to become a determining school in the formation of world fashion trends, reflects the trends and perspective of world fashion at IFCO Fair.
Istanbul Fashion Academy (IMA) is preparing its Trend Area with the theme “Ascension SS26”
Istanbul Fashion Academy, the leading fashion education platform of today and the future, continues its works blending design, trends and creativity at the very centre of fashion and ready-to-wear industry. As the fashion centre that follows, first announces and implements current developments, IMA, which has designed the Trend Area of IFCO Fair for the last 5 seasons, has undertaken this task in the sixth season. The Trend Area, prepared with the theme of ‘Ascension SS 26’, deals with 4 main trends. The works that want to stay in the power of now, in the awareness of the moment, more conscious, emphasising cultural identities and the reality questioned in the process of adaptation to new developments and the works created by the industry with this design language will be presented.
