You may be wondering why I addressed the leather industry through Technology and Artificial Intelligence as Part 2 of my previous article “Nutrition and Quantum Technology”.
In the series “The 3 Body Problem” published on Netflix, which I started watching two months ago, it actually shows what kind of Artificial Intelligence technology is the future.
One of the posters of the series uses a leather strap, so it seems that we will continue to eat meat in the future. In the series, there is a dialog like “I left the dried meat in the water”.
Also, in some scenes in the series, leather seats are noticeable. We observe them wearing leather jackets in some scenes.
Most importantly, the fact that Artificial Intelligence talks about the evolution of the human species, that we domesticated agriculture, farming, animal husbandry, making clothes and shelter from animal hides, the industrialization process, computer technologies and quantum technology, shows that we need to think about the future in terms of all sectors.
I hope you understand why I am commenting on the leather industry, Technology and Artificial Intelligence through this series. If you read my previous article titled “Nutrition and Quantum Technology”, this article is a continuation of that article.
Although the perception of reality in science fiction and future-themed movies and TV series is symbolic, for example, the movie “2001: A Space Odyssey” directed by Stanley Kubrick in 1968 reflected the theme of future Artificial Intelligence. In that movie, leather clothing and leather armchairs and leather boots attract attention.
It’s a good series for science fiction and technology, but we can already see how Artificial Intelligence and technology will shape the future. Even now, robots and automation technology under the control of human beings, the robots of the Boston Dynamics company, are also mentioned in the series.
As you may remember, a few years ago there was news about feeding cows with virtual reality goggles and increasing milk yield. Then there were statements that this was sensationalized in the dairy industry, but that it could not have a natural effect within the scope of animal welfare.
Our habit of eating meat among the food chain on our planet is of great importance for human health. This is why regenerative agriculture and animal husbandry support both the cycle and life.
In short, not only in the leather industry but in all sectors, not having knowledge on these issues such as technology and Artificial Intelligence means not being aware of future threats.
Thank you for reading.
Hope to see you in our next Part 3 column in the ‘Artificial Intelligence and Technology’ series.
