Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags, which opened its doors with 1300 participants and brands from 39 countries between 13-16 January 2024, made a special grand participation in the 100th anniversary of Europe’s footwear and bag fashion exhibition.
Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags, which hosted around 70,000 shoe collections in its 100 years, hosted approximately 500 thousand visitors, and has persuaded industry operators from at least 100 countries to come to Riva del Garda for each edition in the last 10 years. Today, around 80% of visitors come from the European continent, and around 20% of the total visitors come from outside Europe, a very high figure compared to other events.
The event, which was held for the 100th time after the Covid epidemic, which caused the disruption of many international events, stood out as a global reference point for those who buy and sell shoes and accessories and seek a wide range of options. It participated in the entire European market from the United States to Asia, including Turkey, South America, China, India, Southeast Asia and African countries.
Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags’ fair includes details such as both the practical organization of travel and accommodation in the digitalization of the fair catalog to make visitors’ experiences possible.

It is our internationality, superior to all other sectoral activities, that makes us a true crossroads of trade. 2 out of every 3 shoes worldwide are consumed in a country other than the one in which they were produced. At the Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags event, it celebrated an important milestone in 2024 with the presentation of a photo exhibition with a short film in its 50-year history.
