The third edition of the General States of Made in Italy Leather Goods, the symposium promoted by Assopelettieri, will open its doors on 18 October. The entrepreneurs of the sector will gather in Florence in the Salone dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio to take stock of the sector and discuss future scenarios together with representatives of politics, institutions and businesses.
In the 3 preparatory meetings for the national event in Florence, which ended yesterday 6 October, leather goods companies and brands met behind closed doors on crucial issues for the sector, with a view to systemic growth. In addition to taking stock of the state of health of the sector and its performance, identifying the main critical issues to be addressed, we focused on new relationship models along the entire supply chain, formulating proposals and requests addressed to the institutions. An extensive and articulated work that led to the definition of development guidelines for the sector that will be presented during the States General.
At the center of the conference calendar there will be a round table that will focus on some of the key themes of Assopellettieri’s agenda: transparency and traceability of the production chain, digital transformation and technological innovation to support internationalization and, last but not least , the attractiveness of the sector for talents and young people. The last appointment on the calendar will focus on the leather goods supply chain. A reflection on new business models and their economic sustainability, with the aim of offering useful proposals and recommendations for the country system.
