7th World Footwear Congress took place in Istanbul, Türkiye. We followed the congress as the Magazine Leather team, which publishes in three languages, Turkish-English-Russian.
We had a brief interview with Clémentine Colin Richard, one of the speakers of the Third Session and the manager of the French family company KOBI Richard-Pontvert, which is the parent company of the shoe brand PARABOOT.
Clémentine COLIN RICHARD, corporate director of PARABOOT, was elected president of the French Footwear Federation (FFC) in 2021, representing 120 companies from manufacturers to shoe designers, and subsequently took over the presidency of ADC Au-Delà du Cuir, the incubation center of the leather industry.
PARABOOT (a combination of “Para”, the Amazon port from which latex is exported, and “boot”, an interesting new shoe discovered by the brand’s US founder Rémy Richard) produces luxury shoes in France. Since 1908 Paraboot has been a brand of the Richard-Pontvert company. In 2016, the e-company inaugurated its new factory, located between Chartreuse and Vercors, at the foot of the French Alps.
PARABOOT is a standard with the durability and comfort of its styles as well as the quality of its raw materials. The company is proud to be among the “Made in France” ambassadors thanks to its knowledge.
