Many organizations and companies took part in this important event where the scientific research of the leather industry was featured and their projects were reflected.
The event, which has become the meeting point of the European tannery and leather industry, is organized by VGCT and FILK Freiberg as co-organizers. It is an event where experts, researchers and specialists in the industry exchange ideas.
Held on June 13th in Salzburg, the conference featured presentations by companies from the sector and important information. The event emphasized education and the need for a mix of practical and vocational modular courses as well as undergraduate education. Institutions and companies from the sector, such as leather and footwear, took part in the EU-funded MetaSkills4TCLF project, which aims to meet training needs across the EU. Biotechnology research in the sector was also addressed among the presentations at the event.
Marking the event, Olivenleder Thomas Lamparter brought up the #LoveMyLeatherJob Hagtag, as he had previously mentioned in an interview with Magazine Leather https://www.magazineleather.com/olivenleder-thomas-m-lamparter-the-olive-tree-is-not-just-a-symbol-of-life/ , suggesting that those who work in the leather industry should use the hagtag on social media.
