During Pitti Uomo 108, sustainable solutions such as upcycling, creative reuse, and the use of deadstock materials took center stage. The Zero W platform hosted 40 circular fashion brands at Villa Biagiotti.
Florence hosted a special spotlight on circular and sustainable fashion during the Pitti Uomo 108 fair. Leading the initiative was Zero W, a platform founded in 2023 by young Florentine entrepreneur Gabriele Rorandelli, with the goal of helping fashion brands resell, recycle, or donate surplus leather and fabric materials.
“Where others see waste, we see opportunity,” says Rorandelli, who organized a dedicated event at Villa Biagiotti in Florence, bringing together 40 circular fashion brands.
The program included leather goods workshops, conferences on upcycling and circular fashion, and presentations on new technologies in the supply chain. The event underscored the growing importance of circular practices in the fashion industry.
