Türkiye continues to transfer the leather craft to young generations for education and training in leather technologies. Students studying in the Leather Technology and Shoe Design programs of Istanbul University Vocational School of Technical Sciences reinforced this valuable leather craft at Cevahir Deri, one of Türkiye’s leading tanneries. Cevahir leather, which has a ninety-year history, increased the experience of the students with its knowledge and expertise.
The students, who made detailed examinations in the tannery, gained more detailed information about the stages in the production processes, quality control practices and sustainable leather production techniques.
Cevahir leather expert team, which has the LWG top GOLD rating, informed the students about the modern machine park and R&D studies.
The craftsmen shared their knowledge with the young people who will help the development of this valuable craft and open the doors to new innovations in the sector.
