The leather and leather products exporters’ association announced that the exports of the leather industry between January and June reached 978.6 million dollars with an increase of 23.5%.
Istanbul Leather and Leather Products Exporters’ Association (IDMIB), one of the most important organizations in the Turkish leather and leather products industry, operates as a pioneering organization in increasing the export capacity of Turkey’s leather and leather products and promoting the Turkish leather industry worldwide. More than half of the exports of the Turkish leather and leather products sector, which has an export volume of approximately 1.7 billion dollars, are made by IDMIB members.
The export figures of the Turkish leather industry, with the results of the important activities undertaken in recent years, increased by 23.5% between January and June, allowing the Turkish leather industry to reach its target figures in the middle of this year. Expectations in raw leather on the occasion of the approaching Feast of Sacrifice in Turkey and around the world.
