As part of its strategy to establish an integrated manufacturing hub for luxury brands in Veneto, Nice Footwear has acquired Emmepier, a prestigious upper manufacturer based in Vigonza.
Padua-based footwear company Nice Footwear, backed by private equity firm Palladio Holding, has announced the acquisition of Emmepier, a company specializing in luxury formal uppers. The move marks another strategic step toward building a vertically integrated Made in Italy supply chain.
Emmepier, located in the Riviera del Brenta district, is known for its craftsmanship in high-end upper production. With this acquisition, Nice Footwear aims to double its upper production capacity to better meet the increasing demands of the luxury market.
In 2024, Nice Footwear’s Italian manufacturing division employed 250 people. The company plans to grow its workforce to 350 by 2026 under its current industrial roadmap.
“This operation is a key milestone in our industrial plan, launched in 2021, through which we’ve already acquired five companies,” said CEO Bruno Conterno. “We are building an integrated, innovative, and certified manufacturing ecosystem capable of competing globally in an increasingly selective market.”
Previous acquisitions include Favaro Manifattura, Emmegi, Corrado Maretto, and Dyva. In parallel, the group has also set up a compliance and auditing unit to ensure all production meets the highest quality and international standards.
