Held in Copenhagen, the Global Fashion Summit brought together over 100 speakers across 33 sessions to address sustainability obstacles and opportunities in the fashion industry.
From June 3–5, 2025, Copenhagen hosted the Global Fashion Summit, uniting industry professionals under the theme “Barriers and Bridges.” The event featured 33 sessions and 18 panels focusing on Innovation, Capital, Courage, Incentives, and Regulation.
Highlights included:
- Refiberd won the Trailblazer 2025 Award, supported by PDS Ventures, receiving funding and operational support.
- RE&UP became the first fiber producer certified by Cradle to Cradle for cotton-polyester blends.
- The Lycra Company and Qira announced large-scale production of corn-based bio-fiber.
- Modern Meadow introduced Innovera, a high-performance, animal-free material with over 80% renewable carbon content.
- eBay launched a resale solution package for fashion brands.
- WBCSD released version 2.0 of its Circular Transition Indicators for Fashion & Textiles.
- Zalando published its second report “It Takes Many,” examining the gap between consumer intent and behavior.
- Fashion for Good and Arvind announced the Future Forward Factories initiative in India.
- Ellen MacArthur Foundation introduced a new Scaling Circular Business Models guide.
The summit also hosted nearly 20 roundtables with key stakeholders including UNIDO, Target, Nike, Kering, and The Fashion Pact, emphasizing circular logistics and regional transitions.
