Important topics such as Sustainable chemistry and Level 3 were emphasized in the seminar, which closely concerns the leather industry, the footwear industry and the textile industry.
On May 16, 2025, “EUROFINS CHEM-MAP & ZDHC SOLUTIONS ROADSHOW 2025” seminar was held in Istanbul. While there were participants from the Turkish textile and chemical sectors, on behalf of the leather and footwear sector, we had the opportunity to follow this event, which we attended as the Turkey representative of Magazine Leather Publishing, the global publisher of the leather and leather products sector.
Eurofins provides solutions to global brands, retailers and manufacturers with its global technical team as a risk factors, transparency and testing laboratory in the raw material and material supply chain to offer environmentally friendly products in many sectors. In addition, Eurofins BLC provides testing and laboratory services to both the leather industry and the footwear industry for leather and synthetic materials.
The seminar in Istanbul took place in two sessions. Eurofins Assurance Turkey & Euromed Regional Director Mr. Şevket Canköy started his opening speech by thanking the participants and guests.
Ms. Sinem Akkocaoğlu, ZDHC Turkey Manager, provided detailed information on ZDHC processes, sustainable chemicals, ZDHC Gateway and MRSL formulation.
Ms. George Mawer, recently promoted to the position of Eurofins BLC manager, presented Chem-MAP Level 3 ZDHC Implementation and provided detailed information on the importance of chemical management, the importance of RSL and MRSL, supply chain challenges, ESG risks and compliance factors.
In the second session, Trainer Mr. Okan Bulut, Eurofins Chem-MAP Social Responsibility and Environmental Auditor, presented information on field studies and safety and storage in chemical guidelines.
Guests who attended both face-to-face and online followed the event and exchanged information with the guests between and at the end of the presentation.
