The Valencian Association of Footwear Entrepreneurs (Avecal) and the Business Circle of Elche and Surroundings (CEDELCO), in collaboration with the Dual Vocational Training (FP Dual) prospection teams of Baix Vinalopó and Vega Baja, held an informative session aimed at promoting FP Dual as a tool to connect young students with companies.
Held at the Eurofins facilities in the Business Park, the event brought together businesses, students, institutional representatives, and FP prospectors to foster collaboration between education and real working environments.
Strategic Commitment to Youth Talent
José Muñoz Giner, Deputy Director General of Vocational Training, offered an institutional perspective on the dual training model in Spain, emphasizing the need for greater involvement from companies and continued improvement of the system.
Key elements such as company mentors, collaboration agreements with educational centers, and the essential role of prospectors as intermediaries were highlighted.
Best Practices and Success Stories
Companies such as QS ADHESIVOS, S.L. and VULCANIZADOS MARPEN, S.L., along with students from IES Cayetano Sempere and IES Tirant lo Blanc, shared positive experiences that demonstrated the effectiveness of FP Dual in motivating students and improving employability.
Mari Ángeles López, General Secretary of Avecal, emphasized that “Dual Vocational Training has enormous potential to boost employability within our industry.” CEDELCO director Sol Segura added that “FP Dual builds bridges between students’ training and real-world company needs.”
A Future-Focused Alliance
With this initiative, Avecal and CEDELCO reaffirm their commitment to strengthening the connection between education and employment, driving professional development and regional economic growth.
