Assomac participated in the Italy–Mongolia Economic Forum organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation together with ITA – Italian Trade Agency, emphasizing new opportunities for bilateral collaboration.
During the event, Assomac General Director Agostino Apolito highlighted the global value of Italian machinery, technologies, and production solutions for the footwear, leather goods, and tanning sectors. He outlined the key strengths that define Italy’s leadership:
• Internationally recognized industrial know-how,
• Technologies that enhance quality, competitiveness, and creativity in production,
• Solutions focused on energy efficiency and reduced consumption,
• A solid presence in over 130 countries, supporting the development of local value chains.
The forum underlined several areas in which economic cooperation between the two countries can be further strengthened, especially: textiles and leather, agri-industry and food processing, infrastructure and energy systems.
For Italy, this represents not only continued collaboration in traditional sectors such as textiles and apparel but also an opportunity to act as a primary technological partner for Mongolia in developing high-quality finished products.
