Spanish footwear and leather goods group Grupo Pikolinos has announced the appointment of Francisco Sánchez as Chief Executive Officer. Sánchez will work closely with the Perán family and the executive team to lead the company into its next phase of growth and transformation.
With more than 30 years of experience in corporate management, Sánchez brings a strong background in strategic transformation, operations, marketing and finance, particularly within industrial and leather-related businesses. In his first statement, he underlined that “modern leadership is not just about delivering results, but about building organizations with purpose, centered on people and the long-term sustainability of both the business and its environment.”
With this appointment, the Perán family, founders of Pikolinos, step back from direct operational leadership while remaining actively involved in the company. Juan Manuel Perán continues as Chairman, Rosana Perán as Vice Chair, and Carolina Perán as Brand Director. This marks the second time the family has entrusted executive leadership to an external professional, following Manuel Jadraque’s tenure between 2018 and 2022.
The change comes at a positive moment for the company. Grupo Pikolinos closed the 2024–2025 financial year with a 6.5% increase in turnover, reaching €155 million, driven mainly by the strong performance of its flagship brand.
The group is currently preparing its 2026–2029 Strategic Plan, aimed at strengthening its presence in key markets such as Spain, France, Latin America, China and the United States, while accelerating digital transformation, sustainability initiatives and operational efficiency. Under Sánchez’s leadership, Pikolinos is set to enter a new phase that combines family values with professional management.
