Misela welcomed guests from the New York fashion world with a magnificent opening ceremony last week.
Luxury Turkish accessories brand Misela has opened its first U.S. store in New York’s Noho district, strengthening its presence in the American market. Founder Serra Türker Bayr described the move as a return to the city where the brand originally began and where “her heart always remained.”
Founded in New York in 2008 as a wholesale brand, Misela later relocated to Türkiye and transitioned to a direct-to-consumer (DTC) model. After opening its first boutique in Istanbul in 2012, the brand expanded internationally with a London store in 2019.
The new Noho location highlights Misela’s customizable handbags, featuring details such as whipstitch trim, personalized initials, and the “Tiger Eye” motif, inspired by Ottoman and Eastern symbolism. Prices range from $880 to $1,300, and made-to-order items are crafted and delivered within 15 to 20 days.
Misela operates out of a new four-story headquarters in Istanbul, with dedicated showroom and design studio floors. Through digital marketing, the brand has built a strong U.S. customer base, particularly in New York and Los Angeles, and continues to grow with timeless designs and architecture-inspired patterns.
