Archroma won two awards in the latest edition of the Just Style 2024 Excellence Awards.
This Swiss manufacturer of chemicals for the fashion industry was recognized in two categories for promoting sustainability, particularly with two of its latest innovations, Avicuero and Super Systems+.

Avicuero
Avicuero is a system for sustainable tanning and dyeing of leather. Avicuero uses no chromium or other metals and still maintains the quality and performance of traditional tanning methods. The tanners benefit from shorter processing times, eliminate pickling and reduce the use of salt, resulting in less polluting wastewater discharges. In addition, Avicuero can offer energy savings of up to 25% and a reduction in CO2 emissions of up to 23% compared to conventional chrome tanning.
Archroma is working closely with leather tanning chemicals manufacturer Trumpler to scale this tanning system and optimize its profitability worldwide.
Super Systems+
Super Systems+, meanwhile, is a comprehensive solution set that addresses the challenges of the textile industry, including water consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, circularity and chemical management. Offering comprehensive solutions from pre-treatment to post-treatment, Super Systems+ can be implemented without additional investment.
