Bihira no dress worn by a Finnish politician has received such media attention Sanna Marinin Leather jacket worn on his visit to Sweden.

Not surprisingly, since the leather jacket has become a much larger piece of clothing than in its entire history: Admired, controversial, even feared.

Fashion Supplier Sami Sykkö examines the importance of the prime minister’s choice of attire At HS on Thursday.

Leather jacket is not only iconic, but also one of the oldest garments in mankind. The animals have aged since time immemorial, and no doubt they have been given a wrap resembling a leather jacket. For example, remnants of tanning years were found at Mehrgarh in the ancient Indus region thousands of years before the beginning of our era.

One of the first modern leather jackets was the A1 model, introduced in 1925 by French clothing manufacturer Chapal.

Toden in action, leather jackets were used in the two world wars. In World War I, black leather jackets were associated primarily with German pilots, in World War II they were also worn by Allied pilots.

They hung jackets back then: Murder Inc. got wet on the back of the jacket.

Later it is the black leather jacket that represents danger, aggression, and rebellion. In the past, the Angels of Hell and the Black Panthers embraced the uniformed jacket, and in movies as well, it represents domination and oblivion.

For example Marlon Brando appeared in a black leather jacket wearing film Wild heads (1953). When his character Johnny Strabler was asked what he was rebelling against, he replied, “What do you have?

That is, “What will you offer?”

Everything is possible.

Leather jacket also brought to the attention of the general public films such as Top gun, Indiana Jones -series, Fight Club at Matrixit.

Not to forget, of course Good day Fonzieta teleseries.

In the sex industry, black leather, on the other hand, represents dominance. The common character is a woman wearing a leather dress with a whip in her hand, as well Tom of Finland police men.

Also in the world of music, the leather jacket has had an undisputed place. Over the decades, wearing a black leather jacket, one defined oneself as a rocker, punk, hero, and goth, among others. The genre depends on the length of the jacket and on the by-products attached to the leather. Punchers added safety pins to the jacket, piles of rivets.

There were popular leather jackets for men Elvis, Gene Vincent, Jim Morrison and The Clash in its entirety.

In manipulated photos posted on social media following Marin’s visit to Sweden, the prime minister wearing a leather rod was placed specifically in the world of music.

Marin is, of course, not the first politician to be fascinated with a leather jacket. For example, the former president of the United States John F. Kennedyn the leather jacket was sold at auction in 2013 for 500,000 euros.

Prior to the sale, the jacket had been in the possession of a former Kennedy assistant for many years.

Although the history of leather jackets was masculine, now the focus is on the leather works used by women in particular. For today’s celebrities, for example Rihanna, Kate Moss, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Emma Watson, Khloe Kardashian at Jennifer Lopez is described as wearing a leather jacket or imitation leather.

Or, the list may go on indefinitely. So an ordinary piece of clothing from a leather jacket became.

But it still gets the look.
