At the event, which hosted national and international companies as participants, many brands from the textile and textile solutions, leather and chemical sectors opened stands to present their sustainable supply chain approaches.
This year’s main themes included critical topics shaping the future of the sector such as:
- Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR),
• Traceability and transparency,
• Carbon footprint management and decarbonization strategies,
• Innovative energy solutions,
• Textile-to-textile recycling criteria
Magazine Leather Publishing, which took part in the event as a media partner, conveyed the sustainability perspective of the leather and leather industry to international participants. Emphasis was placed on the role of leather as a natural, durable and value-added material within the circular economy, while highlighting the importance of broader representation of the leather sector and its sub-industries in future editions.
“Sustainability Talks Istanbul” successfully continued its mission of being an international meeting point guiding the transformation of the textile industry with a focus on sustainability.
